First Things First
“First things first” seems like a simple enough saying, but actually belies a relatively complex mental process – prioritizing. When we are at our most productive, we take the time to prioritize tasks. When we simply attack things Willy Nilly – in no particular order, we waste time, energy and resources. Prioritizing is key to thriving.
Surviving The Day
Addressing problems as they arise as opposed to intentionally – means that we are constantly putting out fires. By prioritizing our tasks we can prevent them from happening to begin with or, at very least, mitigating the damage they may cause.
Success Is In The Preparation
When I decided to listen to my calling, to honor the things God was preparing me to do, I felt a peace I had not experienced in my former endeavors. Aligning myself with God’s will and purpose for my life enabled me to move toward success.
Thriving In His Will
It makes perfect sense. Why would God equip you with skills, talents and passions that could not be used for His glory? And, if He has provided all of these to you so that you can praise His name – of course, He wants you to be successful at it! Seeking Him first is a sure fire way to stop merely surviving and start Thriving!!
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
