About Me

Hi! I’m Heather. I’m so glad you came to visit.

I live with my family, husband, three older children, faithful dog, one spastic, and one chill cat in a small town bordering mountains and a beautiful river. I was a high school English teacher for many years until I was in a car accident with a drunk driver. It took a long time to recover (four years), and I started this blog during my recovery.

My favorite snack is tea and toast. I love long walks in the woods and by the river. But most of all, I love helping people Thrive! Sometimes just an encouraging word when you’re having a rough day can make all the difference. Other times, it might be a new perspective or information to help you along the way. And sometimes, when the world looks darkest, it is only our faith that pulls us through. The mission of this blog is to help people who are struggling in the hostile terrain of life to THRIVE instead of just survive. So the posts you will find are a variety of testimonials, encouragement, biblical reflections, and helpful information on steps and strategies to do just that.

Let’s thrive together!

Be Blessed,
