I walk away for one minute and return to find this guy on my newly-folded laundry!
Option 1: Shoo Shoo Shoo him away in an effort to get on with the work
Option 2: Get annoyed at the now hairy “clean” clothes
Option 3: Chuckle exasperatedly, lift him gently down and get on with it.
Option 4: Stop. Smile. Wonder at his ability to find the warmest coziest part of the house at the very moment it becomes available. Marvel at his ability to make the most of his rest time. pet him, scratch under his chin, and ‘boop” his nose with mine and take his cue – maybe it is time to take a rest.
Resting is an act of love.
When you rest when you need to, you are loving yourself. You are showing others around you that you love yourself. And… you are making sure that you are at your best for the people you love. Spread the love today and take a little rest – you and the people you love will be happier for it 🙂
2 Corinthians 4:16 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
1Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2And by the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on that day He rested from all His work.
3Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation that He had accomplished.
Jeremiah 31:25 I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.
